7.4 RS01.01 – Revenue Summary Record

This is the Record of type RS01.01 for the communication of summary data about revenues that is being communicated to music licensing companies or rights controllers in a RevenueReport. Some music licensing companies send two RevenueReport messages, one is sent to rights controllers (usually record companies) and another one is sent to contributors (performers and artists).

This may be the case even if the revenue set out in the separate messages is calculated as part of the same distribution. The RS01.01 Record can be used in both cases.
