6.1 Introduction

This part of the RDR standard defines three messages, the RevenueReport (Clause 6.2), the RevenueSummary and RevenueDetails (Clause 6.3).

The RevenueSummary and RevenueDetails are both single Record messages and together enable the communication of all the same data elements that appear in the multi-Record RevenueReport. Thus the multiple summary and details Records in a RevenueReport, have been split into two messages, namely, RevenueSummary and RevenueDetails. The RevenueDetails references back to the RevenueSummary as outlined in detail in Clause 7.1.

Another variance between the RevenueReport and the combination of the RevenueSummary and RevenueDetails is that in the latter almost all the multi-string data Cells have been removed and replaced by single string data Cells and hence there is no need for the use of pipe delimiters in those two messages.

All messages created in accordance with this part of the RDR standard shall follow the technical details defined in Clause 6.4 and be communicated in accordance part 1 of the RDR standard (RDR-C). The Record types referenced in Clauses 6.2 and 6.3 are defined in Clause 7.
